This entry was posted on 4th March, 2015 .
Using just one yarn, three colors, and one inspirational (and useful!) shrub, Jana Huck has created a stunning collection of innovative shawls:

Jana says:
Living and growing up in the North of Germany, I have known the shore plant sea buckthorn with its vivid orange berries and wild-growing bushes since I was a small kid. I've always been fascinated by the contrast of sharp and round – the thorns and berries – and that fascination inspired these five Malabrigo shawls. It also led to the shawls' unusual construction, and the intense colours of Malabrigo sock seemed to be the perfect choice to do this exceptional plant justice.

MFPP stands for Malabrigo Freelance Pattern Project. Every month, we collaborate with an independent designer (or two) to bring you delightfully themed pattern collections!
