Malabrigo Quickies: Trymheim by Ellen T. Andresen

This entry was posted on 16th October, 2012 .
This week's Quickie is perfect for this time of year! So cute and cozy, and even with the cables I bet it knits up in a jiffy. Ellen says:
Old Norse myths and a fleamarket find of a stitch dictionary provided the basis for the inspiration for the cowl: Skade is the ancient Norse godess of Winter, who loved skiing, hunting and the song of the wolves at Trymheim, her home in the mountains. The cables and the stockinette section represent the winding paths of a skier down the hillside of Trymheim.
This cowl would be a great gift (hint hint, the gifting season is closer than you think, aahh!) You can see Trymheim on Ravelry or browse our past Quickies! (We’ve also got a new Quickies list in the Malabrigo Junkies group, for easy reference.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are Malabrigo Quickies? Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’ll be teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
