Designing for variegated colorways is no easy feat, but designer Amanda Bell has done a fantastic job with this two-fer Quickie!

Amanda says:
In this stylish and functional set (the patterns are available individually, too!), simple ribbing and stockinette stitch form the background for an elongated slipped stitch pattern that makes the most of your favorite variegated colorway of Arroyo. The graphic "flying v" motifs call to mind migratory birds heading south for the winter. The beanie features a substantial, stretchy brim that can be doubled up for warmth or left down and pushed back for a slouchier look (and ideal bad-hair-day camouflage). The mitts have similarly extended cuffs at the thumb and finger openings that can be folded back for dexterity or worn long for extra cozy coverage.

So lovely! (And Pocion is the perfect color for Halloween, don't ya think? Reminds me of a witch's brew.) You can see the Migrate set on Ravelry here, or browse all the past Quickies here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are Malabrigo Quickies? Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’re teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
