Malabrigo Quickies: Flower Power Cowl and Mittens by Anne Podlesak
This entry was posted on 10th December, 2014 .(this Quickie post should have gone up two weeks ago- our bad! But it's still gorgeous ;-) ) Today we've got a Quickie set! Turn heads with this stunning stranded floral cowl and mitten set by Anne Podlesak. Anne describes the set as:
A pair of fun, funky, floral motif colorwork mittens, worked using stranded/Fair Isle technique, with two colors of Malabrigo Yarn's Arroyo sportweight. The mittens are knit in the round, beginning at the cuffs where a corrugated ribbing is knit. They are then worked from the cuff upward, with a gusset thumb. This pattern is suitable for knitters with a bit of experience reading charts and working stranded knitting, but can be tackled with a bit of patience by less experienced knitters. You can find the Flower Power Mittens here, and the Cowl here. Or, have a look at our past Quickies here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are Malabrigo Quickies? Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’re teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
