Hold onto your hats, because we're about to shake up the way you make, well...hats! Introducing Circular Slope by Michael Dworjan:

Michael says:
Tired of knitting hats flat or in the round from the top down or bottom up? If so, try a new "slant" on the noble hat with the Circular Slope pattern. The hat is knit as a strip and then ribbing is picked up to join in the round. Bind off and then the fun starts! Seam up the slope and let your eye drive the fit. Want something more unique? Seam the hat together with more of a bump. Looking for something more streamlined? Follow the angle of the hat with your seam for a closer fit. Two sizes are provided - one for a stocking, tighter fit (perfect for men) and one for a slouchier look. A wonderful quick gift that will have your idea of hat knitting turned on it's side - literally!

  Very cool, and the perfect antidote for the "I'm on my fifth holiday gift hat this year and I'm sick of 'em!" blues! Check out Circular Slope on Ravelry, or browse our past Quickies here!
~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are Malabrigo Quickies? Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’re teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
