It can sometimes be tricky to make the most of a lovely multicolored skein, but this week's Quickie makes short work of it with gorgeous elongated diamonds! Lisa says:
The Colourist is a crescent shaped shawl that highlights the beautiful different shadings of variegated yarns while taking advantage of a classic diamond pattern with elongated slipped stitches. When knitting this shawl it’s just so much fun to see what colour the next elongated stitch will be! This stitch pattern works really well for those variegated yarns, which are so pretty but often hard to find patterns for. It creates a beautifully textured fabric, is easy to work and knits up quickly.
Just beautiful! You can find The Colourist on Ravelry or browse our past Quickies here! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are Malabrigo Quickies? Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’re teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
