Malabrigo Quickie: Ardence by Amanda Collins
This entry was posted on 24th June, 2014 .Our Quickie today is this pair of lace beauties from Amanda Collins! Amanda says:
Flowing from gentle lace waves to a pattern reminiscent of burning flame, Ardence is a visually appealing yet simple scarf pattern, with matching hat. The hat is knitted bottom up, first with 4mm needles for ribbing, moving onto 4.5mm needles for the body of the hat. Decreases are in pattern to minimise disruption of the flame stitch. The Ardence scarf is a quick and satisfying lace project. Knit flat, Ardence begins in one type of lace stitch, merging into the second approximately 2/3 through. Edges are knit garter to preserve accessory shape. What a beautiful set! A lacy pattern in Arroyo is the perfect thing to knit during the summer, but will still be cozy for fall. You can find Ardence on Ravelry, or also browse all our past Quickies here! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are Malabrigo Quickies? Quickies are small, fast projects which require only one or two skeins of yarn. Approximately every two weeks we’re teaming up with a talented independent designer to present an exciting new accessory (or other “small object”) pattern, showcasing one of our many yarns and colorways.
